Watch: Troy Deeney heaps praise on record-breaking Mason Greenwood

Mason Greenwood became the highest scoring teenager in the Premier League for Manchester United on Sunday.

With his strike against Aston Villa, the second in a 3-1 win that just about keeps United in the title race, Greenwood overtook Wayne Rooney to achieve an impressive milestone.

The young striker is currently in a rich vein of form having scored seven in his last 10 United appearances in all competitions.

And Watford striker Troy Deeney heaped praise upon Greenwood. Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: “World-class though. When you’re great, that’s what happens. It works both ways.

“I think for me, I’ve said this, outside Harry Kane he’s the most natural finisher we’ve got in the Premier League, right and left-footed.

“I very rarely see him scuff a shot, he’s always hitting it pure. And at 19 to have 15 goals already in the Premier League…”
