15 things we loved this weekend: Haaland, Messi, Xhaka, Mourinho…

It’s been another sensational weekend of action as club football returned following the international break – and Erling Haaland picked up where he left off.

Haaland scored yet another hat-trick as Manchester City thrashed Manchester United 6-3 but Arsenal’s triumph in Saturday’s north London derby keeps them top of the Premier League.

There were plenty of compelling moments elsewhere too and we’ve collected 15 of them here.

Erling Haaland

Forget the goalscoring, Haaland is a born comedian.

Roy Keane & Micah Richards

We could watch these two all day long.

Lionel Messi

The advertising hoardings at the Parc des Princes say it all.

Jose Mourinho

Never change, Jose. Never change…

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Goodness me; no wonder the Georgian is fast becoming the breakout star of the Serie A season.

Juan Fernando Quintero

River Plate are blessed to have Quintero on their books.

Granit Xhaka

Three years ago, Xhaka was booed by the Arsenal supporters. He’s a hero now…

Granit Xhaka & Gabriel Jesus

Heartwarming stuff from the Arsenal duo.

Jack Grealish

Sitting defenders down on their arse for the sake of it; Grealish is growing into his Manchester City shirt.

Paolo Dybala

Dybala scored a brilliant equaliser for Jose Mourinho’s Roma against Internazionale…

Chris Smalling

And Smalling scored the winner. We have a feeling his United beef with Mourinho is long forgotten now.

Henri Lansbury

Ridiculous strike from the former Arsenal man.

Caio Henrique

Expert finish into his own net.

Sheffield Wednesday

A ripsnorter helped one of English football’s biggest sleeping giants to another League One victory.

Jamal Musiala

This guy is the truth.
